David de Gea makes latest high-profile error during Manchester United FA Cup semi-final vs Chelsea

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea make his latest high-profile blunder to gift Chelsea a potentially decisive goal during Sunday's FA Cup semi-final.

De Gea has endured a difficult season in terms of his own form, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer repeatedly resisting calls to drop the Spanish 'keeper following a string of errors.

Solskjaer even went as far as to drop United's regular cup goalkeeper, Sergio Romero, for Sunday's semi-final against Chelsea - but that decision backfired spectacularly.

De Gea arguably could have done better to keep out Olivier Giroud's opener in first-half stoppage time, but soon after the restart, the United No.1 made a glaring error.

Collecting a wayward pass from Brandon Williams, Mason Mount unleashed a speculative low effort from 25 yards out - but De Gea somehow let the ball slip through his grasp into the bottom corner as Chelsea went 2-0 up.

More to follow.
