David de Gea admits the managerial uncertainty at Manchester United 'is a bit strange' but he insists players are still approaching every match in a professional manner.
United are unbeaten in two matches since Michael Carrick was appointed caretaker manager following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sacking, though the club are shortly expected to appoint Ralf Rangnick their interim boss until the end of the season.
The provisional plan is for Rangnick to lead United until next May before he is replaced himself by a permanent appointment ahead of the summer transfer window.
It means United will have had four different managers in little over half a year, hardly the ideal situation at a time when they are in need of some crucial stability.
De Gea acknowledges the situation isn't ideal but he insists the United squad will continue to go about things the right way regardless of who is in charge.
"It’s a bit strange, but we’re professional players," he told Sky Sports. "We’re training properly, playing properly. We play under the pressure as well and that’s Manchester United.
"We’ll see what happens in the future, but at the moment, we are a team, we feel like we’re all together and fighting for the same things.
"At the moment, it is Carrick and we’re with him… We are still conceding many chances, but the team is together. This will make us stronger."
