Manchester United team news: David De Gea included in Champions League team to play Valencia

Manchester United's number one goalkeeper David De Gea will start in their Champions League tie against Valencia, despite reports circulating that he would be dropped.

It was rumoured that Jose Mourinho would be going with Sergio Romero instead of De Gea after a difficult start to the season for the Spaniard.

Mourinho has made some bold decisions recently and dropped Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard within a week in games against West Ham and Derby.

Sanchez comes back into the side after being left out of the 3-1 defeat against West Ham and Pogba keeps his place in the team despite being brought off in the second half at the London Stadium

The United manager is under increasing pressure to turn around their poor start to the season after already suffering four defeats in all competition.

Mourinho said in his programme notes that he wants his side to keep it's dignity. "All of my life, I have followed certain golden rules," he said. "One of them is that a team can lose matches - that is just part of football - but the team must never, ever lose its dignity."

Manchester United XI to play Valencia: De Gea; Valencia, Smalling, Bailly, Shaw; Fellaini, Matic, Pogba; Rashford, Sanchez, Lukaku.
