David de Gea explains how Cristiano Ronaldo has already changed Manchester United

David de Gea says it is 'amazing' to have Cristiano Ronaldo back at Manchester United and has lifted the lid on his immediate impact on the club.

Ronaldo, 36, sealed a sensational return to United in the summer transfer window when he joined on a two-year deal, with the option of a third, for an initial €15million transfer fee which could rise to €23million.

The Portuguese ace made an immediate mark by netting a brace vs Newcastle on his debut and followed the strike up with goals in his two subsequent appearances against BSC Young Boys and Wolves.

Ronaldo is already proving plenty of critics wrong with his impact at Old Trafford and De Gea insists his transformation goes beyond what we see most weeks on the pitch.

"Well I think the impact is already there, he has scored three goals in four games so I think it is amazing to have him back home," De Gea told Sky Sports.

"The experience he has, the ambition is massive, he is a legend already at the club. For the players, the young lads, everyone, it is great to see every day how he works in the gym, how he takes cares of his body, of himself, he is an amazing player.

"It is great to see him every day here working hard and helping the team."
