Kerry were without David Clifford for extra time of their All-Ireland semi-final against Tyrone as the forward was understood to be suffering from cramp.
On a day when the Kingdom's forwards often misfired, the Fossa man was the shining light in their attack in a tight and tense battle at Croke Park.
And when their captain was forced to sit on the substitute's bench for extra-time, Kerry looked bereft of ideas up front as Tyrone took control of the match and the Red Hands went on to win.
Clifford, 22, was then seen having to be carried up the stands and in some discomfort, while his brother Paudie continued to try to inspire the Kingdom on the pitch.
The match had started so well for David as he scored the first score of the game within twenty seconds of the throw-in.
