David Carr predicts Vikings will have 500 offensive yards vs. Falcons

The Vikings are going into the 2019 season with a new offensive identity with the additions of Gary Kubiak to the coaching staff, along with a should-be-improved offensive line.

In Week 1 against the Falcons at U.S. Bank Stadium, NFL Network’s David Carr is predicting big things for the Vikings offense.

Here’s what Carr wrote:

The Minnesota Vikings made one of the most under-the-radar moves this offseason when they hired Gary Kubiak, whom I played for with the Texans. Kubiak and offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski have this offense clicking on Sunday, as the unit racks up 500 yards of total offense against Dan Quinn’s D.

This is quite the prediction considering the Vikings didn’t reach the 500-yard mark once last season. In fact, the last time the Vikings had 500 or more yards in back on Sept. 28, 2014.

Who did the Vikings play?

The Atlanta Falcons.

Maybe Carr’s onto something here.
