David Cameron publicly denies putting privates in a pig - and says he found the rumour funny

David Cameron has, for the first time, outright denied putting his genitals in a pig's mouth.

And the former PM said he even found reading about the salacious rumour funny, The Mirror reports .

He dismissed the claims made in a biography written by Lord Ashcroft and journalist Isobel Oakshott as “false and ludicrous”.

The book, Call Me Dave, revealed in 2015 that an unnamed MP claimed there was photographic evidence of the incident, said to have happened at a debauched Oxford University drinking society initiation.

But in his memoirs, published on Thursday, Mr Cameron said: “My first reaction wasn’t anger, or embarrassment, or worry about the impact. It was hilarity”.

He added: “I couldn’t believe someone could be so stupid as to research and write a book about me, and include a story that was both false and ludicrous.

"Anyone who chooses a career in politics requires a thick skin and a sense of humour”.

In the book, an anonymous MP is alleged to have raised the story at a business dinner in 2015 and insisted there was photographic evidence of the incident.

But Lord Ashcroft's unauthorised biography did admit it could be a case of mistaken identity.
