David Cameron outright denies putting private parts in pigs mouth for first time

David Cameron publicly denied for the first time that he had put his private parts in a pig’s mouth as a student prank.

The former PM dismissed the “pig-gate” allegations in a book by millionaire Tory donor Lord Ashcroft as “false and ludicrous”.

The book, Call Me Dave, revealed in 2015 that an unnamed MP claimed there was photographic evidence of the incident, said to have happened at a debauched Oxford University drinking society initiation.

But in his memoirs, Mr Cameron said: “My first reaction wasn’t anger, or embarrassment, or worry about the impact. It was hilarity”.

He added: “I couldn’t believe someone could be so stupid as to research and write a book about me, and include a story that was both false and ludicrous. Anyone who chooses a career in politics requires a thick skin and a sense of humour”.

The original claim came in the biography written by Lord Ashcroft and journalist Isobel Oakshott.

In the book, an anonymous MP is alleged to have raised the story at a business dinner in 2015 and claimed there was photographic evidence.

Lord Ashcroft's unauthorised biography admitted the incident, said to have happened at a debauched Oxford University drinking society initiation, could be a case of mistaken identity.
