A live track recorded by David Bowie in 1995 has been released for the first time.
The previously unheard version of “Teenage Wildlife” from Bowie’sScary Monsters (And Super Creeps)album was made available to stream on Friday (26 June) alongside the announcement that a 1995 live album from the musician will be released for the first time on 3 July.
Titled Ouvrez Le Chien (Live Dallas 95), the album was recorded at Texas’s Starplex Ampitheatre in October 1995 and will also feature two bonus recordings of “Moonage Daydream” and “Under Pressure” captured at the Birmingham NEC in December 1995.
A number of Bowie albums have been remastered and re-released since the singer’s death in 2016, with live recordings including Welcome To The Blackout (Live London ‘78) and Glastonbury 2000 (Live) also being released.
This weekend, fans of the artist will be able to watch his legendary Glastonbury performance in full for the first time ever, after the 2020 festival was cancelled.
The performance, which featured a set list of Bowie’s greatest hits, was never broadcast at the time but will be available to watch on BBC Two and the BBC iPlayer Glastonbury channel on Sunday (28 June) at 9:30pm.
