Travel restrictions across the world are beginning to lift, leaving us free to jet off abroad, but David Beckham has provided the perfect advert for remaining at home and enjoying a staycation instead.
The 46-year-old former footballer took to his Instagram account to share a sexy topless pic of himself to his 66.6 million followers as he enjoyed the UK heatwave in the idyllic English countryside.
With his shirt off and tucked into the waistband of his jeans, the Manchester United legend showed off his toned, tattooed torso as he posed with a stick for the smouldering snap.
Becks captioned the shot: "Yep this is England, It’s what we do , (sun) comes out we take our shirts off, even walking the dogs when @ victoriabeckham is laughing at me."
Fans were impressed with Becks and his impromptu photoshoot, with many leaving love heart eye emojis under the star's post and one user saying, "Take the boy out of England but not the England out of the boy" with a laughing face emoji.
Sadly for fans eager for more topless pics, the former England captain popped his shirt back on for a follow-up picture on his Instagram Stories.
Appearing to take the snap himself, the dad-of-four was pictured fully clothed, in a grey t-shirt, as he laid on the grass with his beloved dog and prepared to take a nap.
"Then we sleep in a field," the shot was captioned, accompanied with a sun emoji and the British flag.
The Inter Miami CF co-owner has made no secret for his love of the British outdoors - he even owns a Cotswolds home worth £6million.
Earlier this year, the retired footballer set about developing his British base by submitting plans to build a garage for his growing fleet of tractors.
His application to add a double garage to his home states: "The proposed garden machinery store is to be used solely in association with the main dwelling house.
"It will serve as a machinery store for tractors, lawn mowers and other machinery required to manage the garden and grounds."
David and wife Victoria split their time between Miami, where Becks owns a football club, London and the Cotswolds, but it was the countryside that was their choice for life in lockdown over the past year.
As the Beckham family gave an insight into their countryside getaway via social media during quarantine, fans got a glimpse at their luxury abode.
With a kitchen complete with an Aga oven, stunning stone floors and a garden that even features a plunge pool, it's no surprise that Becks is such a huge fan of the countryside.
