David Beckham has thrown his weight behind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer by insisting his former teammate is doing "an incredible job" as Manchester United manager.
Solskjaer has led United to second in the Premier League and to the Europa League quarter-finals, but has come under fire after the FA Cup defeat by Leicester on Sunday.
The last-eight exit from the competition means the Red Devils' only realistic hopes of silverware this season now lie Europe's secondary competition.
Former England international Danny Murphy believes Solskjaer will face the axe if he fails to win the Europa League, but Beckham played down such claims and explained his old teammate is well-equipped to deal with criticism.

"You know, I've seen some of the criticism," Inter Miami owner Beckham told ESPN of his fellow 1999 treble-winner.
"But I suppose when you are a manager at Manchester United and when Manchester United have had the success over the years that they've had, there was always going to be a point where people get criticised - whether it's players, whether it's owners, whether it's the manager.

Is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's job at risk? Have your say in the comments.
"Ole's been in the game for long enough to be able to take any kind of criticism. He's very quiet, he gets on with his job, and I think he's done an incredible job down at United.
"The results are starting to show that, so hopefully that continues because the fans love Ole, we all love Ole and we all want him to do well.

"So when that criticism comes, he's one person that can take it."
United return to action a week on Sunday against Brighton before the first of their two quarter-final legs with Granada.
The Spanish club worked their way through the qualifying rounds of the Europa League on their path to the last eight after finishing seventh in La Liga last season.
