David Beckham's Inter Miami 'targeting transfer' for Man City legend Sergio Aguero

David Beckham is reportedly plotting a sensational swoop to take Manchester City legend to his MLS franchise, Inter Miami.

Aguero made Premier League history last week as he surpassed Thierry Henry as the division's most prolific overseas goal scorer.

The 31-year-old is under contract at the Etihad until the summer of 2021 and has been linked with putting pen to paper on fresh terms as he remains a key part of Pep Guardiola's side.

But, according to The Sun, Aguero would not be against a switch Stateside, which would see him move closer to son Benjamin who lives in Argentina.

Aguero, who scored the winner for City from the bench in a 1-0 victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night, currently earns around £280,000-a-week and would likely net an increase if he signs a new deal.

New York City, the Blues' sister club in the MLS, are also apparently interested, while fellow City great David Silva is allegedly on Inter Miami's radar too.

Aguero moved to City in the summer of 2011 and made himself an immediate hero by scoring the goal that won the club their first Premier League title in stoppage time of the last game of the season against QPR at Eastlands.

His strike against the Blades was his 252nd in City colours and his 20th goal in just 22 matches in all competitions so far this term.

He has won the Premier League four times, the League Cup four times and the FA Cup once during his time in English football.
