David Beckham 'offers Inter Miami contract' to Joe Hart in career lifeline

David Beckham is reportedly set to offer Joe Hart a career lifeline at Inter Miami.

Former England captain Beckham is recruiting players for his Miami franchise, who will be competing in the MLS from next season.

Meanwhile Hart has seen his career falter since being dropped by Pep Guardiola at Man City in 2015.

He is currently second choice goalkeeper at Burnley , behind Nick Pope, but is desperate to hold down a no.1 jersey again.

A source told the Sun : "Joe has told some of his team-mates Becks has been in touch and he’s hopeful a deal can be done.

“He wants to be a No 1 again and he’s frustrated that things haven’t worked out in England for him over the past few years.

“Miami would be great for him and would also be a high-profile club.”

Hart has had a number of failed moves since his ousting as City no.1, after going on loan to Serie A side Torino, followed by West Ham .

He made 19 appearances for Burnley last season, but Pope remains the preferred choice of manager Sean Dyche.

At 32, Hart could be tempted by a switch to the States, with the popularity of the MLS continually growing.

The introduction of Beckham's Miami side will further the league's global appeal, and they've been linked with a move for Hart's former City teammate David Silva.

The Independent reported that Silva, 33, was set to sign for Miami at the end of the season, with the Spaniard having already previously confirmed that he will be leaving Man City.

Miami want to make Silva the face of the club, and feel his Spanish roots will attract interest from the local Hispanic community.

Ex-Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira has also been linked with Miami, with ESPN reporting he could be the club's first manager.

Vieira is currently in charge of French side Nice, but is said to be Miami's no.1 target.
