David Beckham 'launches his own honey' after taking up beekeeping

David Beckham is taking on a new business frontier after becoming "obsessed" with beekeeping during lockdown, reports say.

The former footballer, entrepreneur and model, 45, could be adding another feather to his cap as he takes on the world of honey.

Having started as a "lockdown hobby", it's reported that David's penchant for bee-keeping has become a full-blown "passion project."

And he's even said to have conjured up potential brand names, including D Bee, Seven Honey and Goldenbees.

A source told The Sun : "Beekeeping started as a fun hobby early in lockdown.

"But now David has become a bit obsessed. He has all the gear, and even built a hive.

"He finds it a total antidote to his mad London and Miami life."

The insider added that David's been smart about his latest venture, and been in touch with prospective stockists and manufacturers.

Mirror Online has contacted David's rep for comment.

It'd be the latest in a long line of business successes for the former England skipper.

His recent launch of Bold Instinct saw it top the lists as the UK's best-selling aftershaves.

His business portfolio also boasts a line of sunglasses, a partnership with Haig Whisky and his own football club, Inter Miami, launched across the pond in March.

Earlier this month it was reported that both David and wife Victoria had battled coronavirus just before the nation went into lockdown.

They're thought to have caught coronavirus in Los Angeles, where they mixed with A-listers at a string of high-profile events.

It's said the couple made a full recovery after isolating properly at their Cotswolds home amid Victoria's fears that they were "super-spreaders."

Ahead of their Greece and Italy trips over the summer, they made sure to receive swab and antibody tests to ensure travel wasn't a risk.

But despite their Covid battle, the Beckham clan has been all smiles after eldest son Brooklyn's engagement to American actress Nicola Peltz.

The 21-year-old and his 25-year-old fiancee are back in the UK but spent most of lockdown across the pond - where Brooklyn popped the question.

It's said Victoria and David were overjoyed at the news after forming a strong bond with their future daughter-in-law during the early days of her romance with Brooklyn.

And with the big day still to come, it's been reported that the guest list could include names like Sir Elton John, and even Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
