David Beckham is in Clevedon tonight watching his son play footie

Football legend David Beckham is in Clevedon tonight – watching his son play football.

The footballer, who is current president of Inter Miami CF and co-owner of Salford City, is understood to be at Clevedon Town Football Club cheering on Romeo.

Player Loan Manager and Club Ambassador at Bristol City Brian Tinnion tweeted from the ground.

The former Bristol City player said: “Nice to see David Beckham here tonight @ClevedonTownFC watching his son playing...And he is good.”

The 44 year-old dad of four Becks was also spotted in Clevedon earlier – at Tesco.

He was spotted in the Tesco garage at Kenn Road, filling up with fuel and buying a snack.

Local resident Nick Wilson from Clevedon even got a selfie with him as he went into the service station kiosk.

Becks filled up at the pumps before going into the kiosk to pay and buy a snack.

Nick who was lucky enough to get a selfie with the star recognised him first by the tattoo on his neck.

Becks also posed with other shoppers for pictures.

Nick, a Liverpool fan, said: "I was a little stepped back yes, another customer said hey David can you wait whilst I get my phone.

“I recognised him by the tattoo on the back of his neck.

“I’ve been a fan of his for many years, so was awesome to say hello.

“He is a legend, although I’m a big Liverpool fan.

“The woman behind the till almost fainted when she asked me who it was.”

The news that such a star was in their midst has shocked some Clevedonians – and left them disappointed they didn’t get to meet him.
