Sir David Beckham has sparked concern after being pictured in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling following an undisclosed injury.
The 50-year-old former footballer appeared to be in good spirits despite the setback, sharing a smile in the hospital snap posted by wife Lady Victoria Beckham on Instagram on Friday morning.
Alongside the photo, the fashion designer, 51, wrote: “Get well soon daddy,” adding a heart emoji.
In the image, Sir David can be seen with his arm bandaged and supported by a blue medical sling.
Another photo showed a hospital bracelet on his wrist with the message: “Get well soon.” The cause of the injury has not yet been revealed.
The Standard has contacted Sir David Beckham’s rep for comment.

The news comes after Sir David appeared to reach out to son Brooklyn once again on Thursday, as he shared a heartfelt birthday tribute to his mother, Sandra amid ongoing reports of a family rift.
The former footballer, 50, posted a carousel of photos on Instagram showing special moments with his mum from his childhood through to the present day to celebrate her 76th birthday.
Sharing a heartfelt caption, he wrote: “Happy birthday mum we love you so much I hope u have the best day. Thank you for always being there for us all. Love you.”
The message was accompanied by tags to several family members including his sister Joanne and sons Romeo and Cruz.
Sir David also notably tagged Brooklyn despite ongoing speculation that relations between father and son have become strained in recent months.
Harper, 13, was included via hashtag, as she does not have social media. Later in the day, Brooklyn shared his own tribute to his grandmother Sandra.

Sharing a throwback picture of them together, he wrote: “Happy birthday nanny xx love you so much.”
The sport star’s post comes amid a widely reported rift between the couple and Brooklyn, who lives in the US with his wife Nicola Peltz.
The chef raised eyebrows earlier this week when he publicly marked his billionaire father-in-law Nelson Peltz’s birthday while continuing to stay silent on his own parents’ recent milestones.
It comes after Brooklyn missed Sir David’s star-studded 50th birthday celebration Core in Notting Hill in May, despite reportedly being in London at the time.
The hot sauce entrepreneur also a skipped several key celebrations, including the Beckham family’s party in the Cotswolds, a getaway to France and a boys-only fishing trip to Scotland.
He and his wife also failed to publicly mark either of his parents’ birthdays on social media, something that has traditionally been a hallmark of the close-knit family.
Despite the absence, Sir David appeared to extend an olive branch in a heartfelt Father’s Day message on Instagram, sharing a series of family photos and writing: “I will always be here for you no matter what.”
Brooklyn, however, did not publicly acknowledge the post.
