David Beckham congratulates the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on 'beautiful baby boy'

David Beckham sent a congratulatory message to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after they gave the world a first glimpse of their newborn son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The former footballer, who was among the celebrity guests present at the couple’s Windsor Castle wedding last summer, shared an official photo of the happy family on his Instagram Story.

“Huge congratulations on a beautiful baby boy @sussexroyal,” he wrote in a heartfelt post.

“Those smiles on being a mum & dad for the first time,” he added, along with a heart-eye emoji.

Beckham’s fashion designer wife Victoria, whose designs have been worn by the Duchess for a number of royal occasions, also posted a sweet shout out to the new parents on Twitter.

Sharing another official snap of the family of three, she wrote: “Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex #PrinceHarry and #MeghanMarkle on their baby boy!

“So happy for you both,” she added, before signing off with “x VB” and adding the hashtag “#BabySussex.”

Peter Andre joined the Beckhams in sharing his congratulations on social media, posting a string of photos of the Sussexes and describing the shots as “beautiful.”

He added speech bubble-style captions on top of one image of the trio, writing “Let me sleep” by the Duchess and “Check out my new crib” alongside the new baby.

The Duchess described being a parent as “magic” and said that she has “the two best guys in the world.”

As her husband held the baby, she said that their son “has the sweetest temperament” and is “really calm.”

“Parenting is amazing,” Prince Harry added. “It’s only been two and a half days, three days, but we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy.”
