David Beckham 'blew £19million on Miami party pad' despite Victoria 'wanting family home'

David Beckham has reportedly blown £19million on a Miami party pad - against his wife's wishes.

The former footballer, 44, splashed his cash on the five-bedroom penthouse apartment, which is in the heart of the city and close to his new club Inter Miami, it's claimed.

But Posh, 45, was said to have wanted a more family-friendly house and was 'mortified' when she saw the plush property.

A source told Heat magazine: "The new Miami pad is a proper showstopper – it's breathtaking, so modern, with amazing views and seven-star luxury.

"At first Victoria was put off by how flashy it is – it's more like something they would have gone for back in the days of Posh & Becks bling, and she was mortified."

As well as five bedrooms, the apartment has an ultra modern kitchen and its own swimming pool.

The building has a rooftop communal swimming pool, helipad, spa, hair and beauty salon, acai and juice bar and a sunbathing area.

Victoria reportedly didn't think the home would be suitable for when she visited with their children Brooklyn, 21, Romeo, 17, Cruz, 15, and eight-year-old Harper.

The source added: "She feared the apartment would be some kind of 'bachelor' pad.

"But he's assured her that's not the case and that this would be perfect for them as a family."

Mirror Online has contacted the couple's rep for comment.

The Beckhams are currently in isolation in their Cotswolds mansion.

Their home boasts its own £30,000 tennis court, plunge pool and traditional Estonian sauna and steam room that set the couple back £14,000.

The couple have been documenting their self-isolation all over social media and giving fans a glimpse into their lockdown activities such as baking and watching films in their home cinema.
