David Baddiel and Judith Kerr headline at Imagine children's festival

David Baddiel, comedian and best-selling children’s author will be chatting about his new book The Person Controller.

We are delighted to reveal that the 2016 Imagine Children’s Festival is set to to take place at London’s Southbank Centre from 10-21 February 2016, and as always there is lots in store. Here are some of the highlights:

  • A brand new exhibition called The Wondercrump World of Roald Dahl will be on show taking visitors on a wonderful tour into the creative brain of Roald Dahl.

  • A live illustration of Roald Dahl’s The Minpin’s will be accompanied by the live sounds of Sibelius played by the talented London Schools Symphony Orchestra.
  • There will be an array of readings and events with, and in honour of, authors including: David Baddiel, Mary Hoffman, Cressida Cowell, Laura Dockrill, Ben Bailey Smith, Joseph Coelho, Michael de Souza, Emma Shevah, Holly Smale, Marta Altés, Cerrie Burnell, Mary Ononokpono, Gareth P Jones, Jamila Gavin, Jan Bajtlik, Nadia Shireen and Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin
  • Workshops will give children the chance to explore animated films, clay sculpture, writing poetry, illustration and learn sign language
  • Puppets: Theater Gnaffel will be at the festival presenting a life size puppet performance of Roald Dahl’s Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs
  • And of course, back for another year to provide the height of relaxation... The Giant Storytelling Bed returns!
