David Andrews misses second-straight Patriots practice

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. In the Patriots second practice of the week, the team is still missing an important piece in the middle of their offensive line.

Per the reporters present, the Pats were missing David Andrews for the second straight session. Andrews made his preseason debut last week against Carolina, but it didn't appear like he suffered an injury. Considering he's still not at practice, that's obviously not the case.

With Week 1 two weeks away, this is a situation to monitor. In the event Andrews can't play, look for Ted Karras to start at center for the Patriots. Karras has been the team's best interior offensive linemen going on three seasons now.

The Pats were reportedly also missing running back Damien Harris, tackle Cole Croston, tight end Lance Kendricks, tight end Ben Watson, linebacker Shilique Calhoun and defensive end Derek Rivers.

Harris, Kendricks and Watson (concussion) suffered injuries against the Panthers. This week's preseason finale against the New York Giants would be the last time for Watson to play before he serves a four-game suspension. It's similar to Kendricks, who will serve a one-game suspension. Harris was dealing with a hand/wrist injury before the game against Carolina.

Calhoun and Rivers have missed the last two preseason games due to injuries.
