Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame lists his recording studio loft in Hollywood

Nov. 08--One-time Eurythmics frontman Dave Stewart has listed his recording studio and offices in Hollywood for $1.2 million.

The two-story penthouse is in an Art Deco building with views of the Capitol Records building, the Hollywood sign and the cityscape.

Near the W Hotel, entertainment options and restaurants, the live/work loft was created five years ago by combining two units. It features a soundproof recording studio, an isolation booth and three bathrooms.

The landmark building has a 24-hour concierge desk, security elevator access, a rooftop patio and 24-hour valet service. Two parking spots come with the 11th and 12th floor penthouse.

Stewart, 63, and singer Annie Lennox partnered in 1980 to create Eurythmics. The duo gained fame with their second album, "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)," and worked together until 1990 when they took a hiatus and focused on solo work. They reunited in 1999 for an additional six years and for a Beatles tribute last year.

The singer-songwriter-guitarist-producer released his most recent album, "Lucky Numbers," two years ago. He has worked with artists including Gwen Stefani, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks and Mick Jagger.

His memoir will be published next year.

Tina Stern of Sotheby's International Realty is the listing agent.
