The Sun Sentinel’s Dave Hyde has assembled his punch list for making the 2019 season as awful (in a good way) as possible for the Miami Dolphins. Stop here, read it, and come back.
Hyde’s list is amusing, fun and quite honestly provides some light-hearted perspective that all who support the Dolphins are all going to need in order to get through what will almost certainly be a trying season in 2019.
Many in the media surrounding the Dolphins seem to be as fed up with the mediocrity of the Dolphins as the team itself. There’s calls for tanking and GIFs of Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa on what feels like a daily basis.
It is, if nothing else, something new. Miami has made a practice in recent years of paying handsomely for square pegs and trying to fit them into round holes. No longer, and the change in perspective is what all who support the Dolphins need to hold on to.
A proverbial life preserver in the midst of the trying times looming ahead in 2019. Or, you know, we could implement some of Hyde’s ideas off his punch list…
I vote we start with the countdown clock to the 2020 NFL Draft in the stadium.
