Dave Fipp moving on from the Eagles to join the Lions as special teams coordinator

As the Eagles continue to build their staff, the holdovers from the Doug Pederson era are starting to land in other cities.

According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Dave Fipp is set to join the Lions as the team’s special teams coordinator, following Duce Staley to Dan Campbell’s staff.

The Lions reportedly are hiring Duce Staley as running backs coach, and are expected to add Dave Fipp as special teams coordinator and Mike Clark as strength and conditioning coach.

Fipp and Campbell coached together with the Miami Dolphins, and he’ll have the familiarity of working with Staley again on a different staff.

Fipp was allowed to seek other employment around the league once the Eagles decided on Sirianni for his position.
