Dave Cormack in spiky Aberdeen transfer verdict as he bristles at 'absolute rubbish' Teddy Jenks theory

Dave Cormack insists Aberdeen don't need to sell a player in January as he rubbished talk of Teddy Jenks returning to Brighton.

The Dons chairman took to social media to make the Pittodrie transfer position clear in the midst of the winter window.

Cormack was clearly irked having spotted a post on Twitter claiming loanee Jenks would be returning to the English Premier League side.

Jenks has been in and out of Stephen Glass ' first XI this season and the 19-year-old started the last game before the winter break against Dundee.

With Austin Samuels returning to Wolves and Matty Longstaff back at Newcastle after ill-fated loan spells in the Granite City, Cormack was quick to bite back at claims that Jenks would join them.

He also insisted there is no need for the club to sell in this window with Ryan Hedges being heavily linked with a move to Blackburn Rovers.

Cormack tweeted in response to the post: "Absolute rubbish.

"Teddy, Brighton and AFC (Aberdeen) are pleased with his progress as an emerging talent and being here for the season.

"We're a week into the window where we do not need to sell one player. If we do it's on our terms and only if we believe we have cover or can reinvest."

So far this window American midfielder Dante Polvara is the only new arrival at Pittodrie.
