Aberdeen chairman Dave Cormack hopes to get the green light from the city council that will see full crowds return to Pittodrie next week.
Celtic and Rangers have both had their requests rubber-stamped by Glasgow City Council and now the Dons are hopeful of a similar outcome for their fixtures.
Aberdeen face Briedablik on August 12 and Cormack is prepped to host a full stadium in the second leg of the Europa Conference League qualifier.
Teams have been left on tenterhooks after Nicola Sturgeon stopped short of throwing the gates open to Scottish football in her roadmap out of restrictions.
While physical distancing has been banished she told organisers of large scale events they must still apply for permission to accept attendances greater than 5000.
But that has been merely box ticking for the Glasgow sides and now Aberdeen hope they also receive a positive outcome for fans desperate to see Stephen Glass' side in person.
Speaking to the club's website, he said: "With the lifting of most restrictions announced by the Scottish Government earlier this week, we have been working closely with A
berdeen City Council and have submitted an application for full capacity for our home games for the rest of the season.
"We are hopeful of a positive decision tomorrow afternoon which will allow us to put tickets on sale online at 6pm tomorrow (Friday) for the return leg of the Europa Conference League game against Breidablik on 12th of August.”
