Davante Adams threw a helmet-slamming, muttering-to-self tantrum, but who could blame him?

It’s been that kind of season for Davante Adams.

The superstar wideout has gone over 100 yards just once this season, and hasn’t scored since September in a huge game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He’s been targeted in the double digits just three times this year, absurd for a receiver of his caliber.

It all came to a head on Monday night in the Las Vegas Raiders’ loss to the Detroit Lions. Adams saw seven targets … and had just one catch. You couldn’t blame him for being frustrated, and that’s what we saw thanks to Monday Night Football cameras and his postgame talk with reporters:

He didn’t know what to say after the loss, choosing not to say what was going on in his mind beyond “frustration.”
