Davante Adams still out, but Packers return Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to practice Monday

Monday’s practice in Green Bay provided good news and bad news for the Packers’ wide receiver room.

Davante Adams remains out while on the COVID-19 reserve list, but Allen Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling both were present for practice, according to Mike Spofford of the team’s official site.

All three receivers missed last Thursday night’s win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Lazard was deemed a close contact of an infected person and needed to quarantine for five days on the reserve list per NFL rules. Now clear, he should be able to play Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Valdes-Scantling has been on injured reserve since injuring his hamstring against the 49ers in Week 3. He’s been designated for return and can be activated to the roster at any time, but he was close to playing last week and is likely to be ready for Sunday.

Adams, who went on the COVID-19 reserve list last Tuesday, needs to be asymptomatic with two negative tests 24 hours apart to be activated back to the 53-man roster.

Left tackle David Bakhtiari, who is still on the PUP list, practiced again Monday.

The Packers were also without veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis and defensive lineman Kingsley Keke, who suffered a concussion against the Cardinals. Tight end Robert Tonyan and running back Kylin Hill suffered season-ending injuries and will be going on injured reserve.

The Packers won’t provide the first injury report of the week until Wednesday, but expect several transactions soon as the team sorts through the roster following all the events of the last week.
