The daughter of a Dublin woman who has been missing for four days has made an emotional appeal to the public for information that could help find her mother.
Bernadette Connolly, 45, went missing from her home in Swords on Friday, January 7.
She was spotted on Swords Main Street at 11.31am on Friday morning and was last seen on Donabate beach at 12.38pm.
She is thought to be wearing a black woolly hat with black bobble, black Nike trainers with chunky white soles, black leggings, a black puffer jacket and carrying a black handbag.
Bernadette is described as being 5ft 6in in height with long black hair, hazel green eyes, sallow skin and a slim build.
In a video posted on Instagram, Bernadette’s daughter Jadericka 'Jade' Connolly asked anyone who may have seen her mother to get in touch.
In particular she appealed to taxi drivers in Swords who may have dropped Bernadette off at Donabate beach last Friday.
“Something might come back to you, the slightest bit of information will help and might help us piece the bits together," she said.
“My Mam is the most amazing mother in the world. I know that’s very biased but she is the type of woman who is there for absolutely everyone.
“She is my rock. I’m her only daughter.
“I will not rest until I [search] every part of Donabate, Portmarnock, Malahide, Rush, everywhere [in] Ireland. I need to find her.”
Jade and other family members are continuing to search the area around Donabate beach where Bernadette was last seen.
The Shoreline Hotel near the beach has provided Gardai with CCTV footage of Bernadette confirming she was in the area.
In a statement, Gardai said they are “concerned” for Bernadette's welfare and are seeking the public's help in finding her.
Anyone with any information on Bernadette's whereabouts have been asked to contact Swords Garda Station 01 666 4700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
