Bristol record producer and former Massive Attack star Tricky has revealed his daughter has died aged 24.
The rapper told the the tragic news to his followers on Facebook in a post that Mina Mazy Topley-Bird passed away on May 8.
The post reveals a message from both him and Mina's mum Martina Topley-Bird, also from Bristol.
He said: "I thought I knew what loss was, but now my daughter is gone I realise I had no idea what it was after all.
"It feels like I'm in a world that doesn't exist, knowing nothing will ever be the same again.
"No words or text can really explain — my soul feels empty.
"Mazy Mina, my daughter, had two names — some people called her Mazy, some people called her Mina.
"She had an amazing talent for singing and songwriting; songs which will be finished and heard.
"Your words and songs live on, I will make sure they do.
"I haven't had the strength to even look at a picture of you until now — people will hear your voice and songs.
"All my heart — what's left of it.
"Love you Mazy Mina, Dad."
Mina was born on March 19, 1995 and died on May 8, 2019.
The Facebook post also included a quote from Martina, who said: "Sweet baby, life won’t be the same without you"
The star's fans shared in his sorrow.
One said: "Heartbreaking news. Our thoughts go with you and yours"
Another said: "So so so sorry to hear. My heart absolutely breaks for you. Nothing but love and the purest of thoughts to you, Martina and all else close. Take time."
While another commented: "I am so terribly sorry for you loss. I know no words could ever be enough to comfort you, but sending my love and sympathy to your family and you guys. She sounds like a truly beautiful soul."
Tricky also posted a link to Mina's song When You Go in tribute.
In the song, Mina sings: "Take me with you when you go.
"I'll wait with a smile 'til you come home."
