Daughter launches Glasgow hunt for paving slab artwork made by dad in 1965

An artist has launched a 'detective' challenge' for Glaswegians as she appeals for help in hunting down a stunning paving slab artwork made by her dad in Glasgow back in 1965.

Sarah Graham's father Pete took weeks to complete the work, which saw him hand-carve the alphabet into a 'borrowed' paving slab. Unfortunately it disappeared soon after.

Now the artist, who was born and brought up in Glasgow but now resides in England, hopes the magic of Twitter will help her to locate her dad's work.

Alongside a photo of the slab, she tweeted: "Okay, Twitter, here's a detective challenge for you: my father hand-carved this alphabet onto a "borrowed" paving slab in Glasgow in 1965.

"It took him weeks to complete. Soon after, it disappeared. Where did it go? Have you seen it?"

To be fair, with everyone waiting anxiously for the series finale of Line Of Duty this weekend, it might be worth getting our fingers into some detective work that would put the likes of Kate Fleming and Steve Arnott to shame!
