In an advice video that may prove unsettling for those currently waiting on that all-important text, a wise dating expert has revealed once and for all how to tell if someone is actually interested in you - as well as the very clear sign that they aren't.
Addressing singleton's currently puzzling over their crush's oh-so-mysterious behaviour, coach and author Benjamin Daly advised that figuring out whether someone likes you or not is really quite simple.
As harsh as his advice might be to hear for some, it may well save you a lot of mooning and fretting over the wrong person in the long run.
Taking to TikTok, where he goes by the username @benjamindaly, Benjamin told his followers, "if he likes you, he does this", revealing exactly what he meant in a very clear, direct, and for some quite painful, video.
The guru explained: "If a guy likes you, he does this. He makes it obvious through consistent action. He calls you, he texts you, he makes plans to see you. If he's not interested, you'll be confused. It's that simple."
The clip has since been watched more than 166.6K times and counting and has since left some lovesick followers in tears.
One shaken person commented, "This made me cry, but it's a process I need to accept", while a second sighed, "he never loved me like I loved him. Wate of emotions."
A third agreed: "So true. When a guy is interested, you'll definitely know. If he stops calling, texting etc., then you know something is off."
A fourth individual wrote: "Unless they're a weak man and don't know how to pursue a confident woman."
Others lamented that they'd experienced further confusion after the man they were seeing initially expressed interest, only to end up ignoring them, or vanishing altogether.
