A dating app for men with smaller penises has been launched to help singletons shake the pressure of being 'big'.
Dinky One hopes to 'normalise the situation' by giving men the opportunity of dating outside their circle of friends on a platform which provides the 'safety that everyone using the site is fully aware'.
It states that although 'body image is generally in your control, penis size is not' and men are flooded with information online advertising fake methods and products to enlarge the size of their manhood.
The Dinky One website reads: "Many young men now think that you need a 12 inch penis to satisfy your partner. This is simply not the case and our dating site is here to normalise the situation."
It says there are many reasons a sexual partner may prefer a smaller penis, such as those who 'prefer the comfort and still rate the sex highly'.
Dinky One ditches swiping and allows users to contact potential love interest right away, and users can crop out their faces if they wish to retain privacy - but pictures of nudity are a strict no-no.
The dating site says it currently has more than 27,000 active users, with 71 per cent male, 27 per cent female and 2 per cent transgender.
It's open for anyone to join up and 'users are free to define their identity how best suits them."
David Minns, founder of Dinky One , said: "There’s pressure on all genders to confirm to ideals set by TV, film and even porn.
"The adult entertainment industry only casts males with well over average sized penises. In addition, adverts on major porn sites advertise dubious products to increase penis size.
"All of this makes a man already insecure about his size even more self conscious. Some men are big, some average and some below average.
"Dinky One lets smaller men date people outside their circle of friends with the safety that everyone using the site is fully aware. Members can focus on shared interests and get on with dating."
One user said: "When you're a smaller man dating is very complicated. A lot of my mates found their partners from friends of friends or via work.
"Imagine the situation when one of these relationships fails, she’s likely to mention my size to her friends and then gossip spreads! Everyone in your office asking you, ‘Can you help me a little bit?’, ‘Do you gave a small pencil I can borrow’.
"Either everyone knows or you become paranoid. It’s therefore far better to date online with strangers and even better on a dedicated site such as Dinky One as everyone knows in advance."
