Dates set for Tottenham's May Premier League fixtures against Sheffield United and Leeds

Tottenham Hotspur now know when they will play their first two Premier League games in May.

In action this evening against Southampton as Ryan Mason takes the team for the very first time, Spurs finish April with a Wembley showdown against Man City in the Carabao Cup final.

However, up until this afternoon it wasn't exactly clear when they would play both Sheffield United and Leeds at the start of May.

Well, Spurs start next month with a home fixture against the Blades, with the game now taking place on Sunday, May 2 at 7.15pm and due to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Tottenham will be back in league action once again six days later as they head to West Yorkshire for their first Premier League away game at Elland Road since the 2003/04 campaign.

The fixture against Marcelo Bielsa's men will be played on Saturday, May 8 at 12.30pm and BT Sport will be televising it live.

As Spurs have no more Europa League football to play this season following their embarrassing exit away at Dinamo Zagreb, the team don't have such an intense schedule as some of their rivals have to contend with in the final weeks.

Following the Sheffield United and Leeds games at the start of May, home matches against Wolves and Aston Villa follow before they take on Leicester City on the final day.

Dates and times for those three games will be confirmed in due course.
