Dates for new star sign Ophiuchus - is your horoscope now different?

NASA's discovery of a new star sign has thrown everything we know about horoscope into question.

The new sign - named Ophiuchus - now means there are more than 12 star signs and you may have been following the wrong one all along.

The mystery sign is supposedly the horoscope of those born between November 29 and December 17.

Chronicle Live reports that NASA has now changed the dates to all of the star signs to incorporate Ophiuchus.

A spokesperson said: "The line from Earth through the sun points to Virgo for 45 days, but it points to Scorpius for only seven days.

“To make a tidy match with their 12-month calendar, the Babylonians ignored the fact the sun actually moves through 13 constellations, not 12.”

The characteristics and traits for Ophiuchus are:

- Very complicated character who wants success, not just for yourself but for everyone else in your life.

- Can be a super-strong lover once your emotions are fully evolved.

- Passionate and not interested in short-term relationships.

- Flamboyant and expect people to be in awe of you and notice your presence.

The new dates are as follows:

Capricorn: January 20 to February 15

Aquarius: February 16 to March 11

Pisces: March 11 to April 18

Aries: April 18 to May 13

Taurus: May 13 to June 21st

Gemini: June 21 to July 20

Cancer: July 20 to August 10

Leo: August 10 to September 16

Virgo: September 16 to October 30

Libra: October 30 to November 23

Scorpio: November 23 to November 29

Ophiuchus: November 29 to December 17

Sagittarius: December 17 to January 20
