The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) announced that millions of people all across the country will receive extra financial help in the autumn.
The second half of the £650 cost of living payment will begin to appear in eligible people's bank accounts from November after millions already received the first half of £326 last July. It means people receiving Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) may see a boost to their finances.
Despite this, not everyone on an Income-based JSA will automatically be eligible and it's important to double-check if you will be receiving the money. Because of this, we've compiled everything you need to know about Income-based JSA recipients and the second cost of living payment.

Who is eligible for the Cost of Living Payment on Income-based JSA?
You will automatically be eligible for the second payment if you were entitled to a payment - or later found to be entitled - of Income-based JSA for an assessment period that ended in the period between August 26, 2022 to September 25, 2022.
When will people on Income-based JSA get the second Cost of Living Payment?
If you are eligible for the second cost of living payment and receive Income-based JSA, then you should expect to see the payment land in your account between November 8 and 23, 2022.
You may receive the payment at a later date if you are awarded a qualifying Income-based JSA or you change the account your benefit is paid into - the payment will be made automatically so you don't need to apply.
