Date from Billy Connolly's final tour to be screened at Airdrie town hall

A dynamic date on beloved Scottish comedian Billy Connelly’s final stand-up tour is coming to a cinema screen in Airdrie.

The Big Yin’s gig in Australia – which was recorded in 2015 – is being shown at the Sir John Wilson town hall on October 10 – with tickets on sale now.

The screening of The Sex Life of Bandages is a special one-night-only event and sees Connolly musing upon his “career, life and legacy in a deeply personal interview filmed exclusively for cinema audiences”.

Prior to retiring in 2016 following his diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease, Connolly toured worldwide continuously for 50 years.

The Sex Life of Bandages is a big screen tribute to an “iconic funnyman whose sharp wit and anarchic storytelling is still as hilarious as ever”.

Tickets for the Airdrie screening cost £16 and can be booked by calling 01698 403120 or visiting https://culturenl.co.uk/cinema-billy-connolly-the-sex-life-of-bandages /
