Balloon fans didn't get quite the experience they were hoping for this year as only one mass ascent went ahead during the 2019 Bristol Balloon Fiesta.
Strong gusts and huge downpours meant organisers had to cancel all of the scheduled events on Saturday, when they closed the site over safety fears.
But despite this, it was a still a fantastic event and the mass ascent on Thursday (August 8) wowed spectators.
As the wind died down on Sunday, revellers were keen to get back into Ashton Court and make the best of it, even with the absence of flying balloons.
And now the event is behind us, many supporters are keen to turn their attentions to next year's event - when we hope the weather gods will be a bit kinder.
After all it was only a few years ago the balloons flew in ascents, so there is no reason why 2020 should be anything but a huge success.
