Date and time confirmed for Liverpool vs Everton in the FA Cup

Everton’s trip to Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup will take place on Sunday, 5 January, with kick off at 4.01pm at Anfield.

In a repeat of the 2018 tie, the Merseyside rivals were matched on Monday night when the third round draw took place.

The clash, which will also be shown live on BBC One, will see the Blues travel across Stanley Park in search of their first win at Anfield for more than 20 years.

Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League table while Everton sit in 18th after the Reds ran out 5-2 winners in the first derby of the season on Wednesday night.

Virgil van Dijk scored a debut winner the last time the two sides were matched at this stage of the competition two seasons ago.

As part of the Heads Up campaign, all 32 fixtures will kick off one minute late to encourage fans to think about looking after their mental health.

Both Reds and Blues will be encouraged to consider the positive impact 60 seconds can have on their own wellbeing or in supporting a friend or family member.
