Date and kick off time confirmed for Everton's Carabao Cup clash against Leicester

Everton's Carabao Cup quarter-final tie against Leicester City will be played on Wednesday 18 December, with a 7.45pm kick off at Goodison Park.

The Blues reached the last eight with a 2-0 win over Watford at Goodison Park on Tuesday night, thanks to second half goals from Mason Holgate and Richarlison.

While Leicester advanced into the last eight of the competition for the third consecutive year, after beating Burton Albion 3-1 at Pirelli Stadium on the same night.

The tie comes just three days after Marco Silva's side take on Manchester United at Old Trafford, before a home fixture against Arsenal follows in the Premier League three days later.

The sides last met at Goodison Park on New Year's Day, with Jamie Vardy grabbing the only goal of the game to hand the visitors a 1-0 win.

Everton have confirmed that ticket information will be released in due course, while broadcaster Sky Sports are yet to confirm their selections for live coverage.

Elsewhere in the draw, Aston Villa will take on Liverpool, Oxford welcome Manchester City to the Kassam Stadium and Manchester United will host Colchester at Old Trafford.
