Data miner's prediction for Fortnite's return is good news for fans

A data miner has predicted when Fortnite will be back online - and it’s good news for gamers .

Last night, Fortnite crashed for players around the world, leaving them with a mysterious ‘black hole’ on their screen.

While the outage has raised panic among gamers that Fortnite has been deleted entirely, thankfully this is very unlikely to be the case.

Instead, it’s likely to be hype for the release of the 11th season of Fortnite, widely referred to as Fortnite Chapter 2.

Now, a data miner known as Lucas7yoshi has analysed the Fortnite code, and discovered an end time for the outage.

His findings suggest that Fortnite will be back online on Thursday morning at 09:00 BST (04:00 EST).

However, he tweeted: “I really doubt they really going to make people not play for 4 days or whatever straight but it’s Epic lmao. Take it as you will.”

If his predictions are correct, this will be the longest downtime for Fortnite since it was launched back in July 2017.

Many frustrated users have replied to Lucas7yoshi's tweet, venting their annoyance at the outage.

One user said: "I'm losing it there's no way I'm waiting until Thursday," while another added: "Oh my god please God no Epic."

Epic Games are yet to comment (Epic Games)

Meanwhile, another joked: "Lmao time to move to a new game lol."

While the downtime is no doubt frustrating for players, it indicates that something big is coming soon to the game.

Epic Games has deleted all the tweets from the Fortnite Twitter page, but is yet to comment on the outage.

Mirror Online has contacted Epic Games for comment.
