Dashcam video shows Chicago police officers violently throw suspect to the ground after she had been shot twice and tasered

Two Chicago police officers have been stripped of police powers after officials reviewed dashcam footage of an armed robbery suspect being aggressively thrown to the ground during a 2011 arrest.

Tiffani Jacobs, 34, had already been shot twice in the chest and tasered after fleeing an armed robbery of a McDonald’s restaurant; and she allegedly tried to run over a police officer during the getaway.

The incident which took place in May 2011 is now under review at the request of newly appointed Superintendent, Eddie Johnson.

Public confidence in the Chicago Police Department plummeted after video was released last year showing the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald.

Jason Van Dyke fired 16 bullets at the teenager, even as he lay on the ground and has been charged with murder for the 2014 incident.
