Dashcam footage has captured the moment a lorry overturned on a roundabout in Knowsley.
The incident which happened on School Lane in Knowsley on Friday, May 14.
T he HGV appears from behind a number of trees not too far in the distance.
The vehicle then makes its way onto the roundabout as the back end of the lorry tips to its left.
The momentum of the manoeuvre and the attempted right turn through the roundabout causes the lorry to flip over.
At the time of the incident photographs posted online showed the large HGV lying on its side in the road.
A video of the accident has since appeared online showing the moment the vehicle overturned.
Police were called out to the scene on School Lane in Knowsley as officers dealt with the incident and made the scene safe.
According to Merseyside Police, nobody was injured.
A statement released by the road policing unit at the time said: “Thankfully no injuries here after this HGV failed to negotiate a roundabout in Knowsley industrial estate. Closure in place on School Lane please avoid whilst we recover the vehicle."
In a comment on their YouTube channel, the motorist who captured the footage said: “Have seen many videos of truck crashes online over the years but never expected to happen right in front of me on School Lane, Knowsley. The driver had his seat belt on so he’s okay, but shaken up.”
