A lorry has overturned on an A1 slip road and caused an oil spillage.
The incident happened on the northbound slip road at J80 A19 heading to Seaton Burn Roundabout.
Police were called to the scene and the slip road was closed due to an oil spillage, causing traffic to move slowly.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said the route would be closed until the oil was cleared and lorry recovered.
They said: “We received a call at 2.10pm that there was a road traffic collision and there were reports of a lorry on its side.
"There were reports of an oil spillage on the road and the route is closed until it is sorted."
There were not believed to be any injuries.
The spokesperson added: “The driver is out of the cab and uninjured."
