Dash-cam appeal after teen left with serious injuries in St Ann's attack

Motorists have been urged to check their dash cam footage after a 16-year-old boy was attacked. The teenager was attacked on Tuesday, June 6, at the junction of St Bartholomews Road and Blue Bell Hill Road, St Ann’s.

It is believed that as many as three people were involved in the assault, which took place at some point between 9.30pm and 10pm. The victim was taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries that aren’t believed to be life-altering.

Nottinghamshire Police have launched an investigation into what happened, and are appealing for anyone who drove through the area at the time of the attack to share any dash-cam footage they have with the police. Detective Constable Wendy Brown, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “It is absolutely essential that anyone who saw what happened or has any information that could assist our investigation contacts us right away.

“This attack took place at a junction between two roads that drivers will have been passing through around the time of the incident. With this in mind, we’d ask that any motorists who drove through the St Bartholomews Road and Blue Bell Hill Road areas between 9.30pm and 10pm on June 6 checks their dash-cam footage, if they have it set up.

“Any bit of information, however small or insignificant it might seem, could really assist our investigation, so we’d ask that you share this footage with us, along with any relevant mobile phone or doorbell-cam footage too.” Information can be shared with the police by calling 101, quoting incident 855 of 6 June 2023.

Alternatively, information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
