Daryl Murphy admits drugs shame as Nottingham Forest linked with prolific striker

Forest have been linked with a move for Charlton Athletic forward Lyle Taylor ahead of the  January transfer window .

The  Reds  could look to bolster their squad in the New Year, and Taylor is the latest name to be tipped to move to the City Ground.

MURPHY ADMITS DRUG SHAME

Daryl Murphy has revealed he was banned by the Football Association for taking drugs while under contract at Nottingham Forest.

The Irishman, who left the City Ground earlier this year and joined Bolton Wanderers on a free transfer, has reportedly told The Athletic of the incident, which has only now come to light.

LAMOUCHI'S INJURY UPDATE

Forest will again be without the injured trio of Samba Sow, Yuri Ribeiro and Carl Jenkinson for tomorrow’s clash with Middlesbrough.

Midfielder Sow has been sidelined since October with a hamstring problem, while Jenkinson has been out since August with an ankle injury and fellow full-back Ribeiro (knee) since the clash with Derby County last month.
