A teenage boy has been killed in a hit-and-run while riding his scooter across a road in Darwin.
The 15-year-old was struck about 7pm, in the northern suburb of Wulagi.
The driver fled and bystanders fought to save the boy but he died at the scene.
Police say the driver handed himself a short time later. No charges have yet been laid and investigations continue.
