Darvel v Auchinleck Talbot: Michael Kennedy says side won't be fazed by Beechwood as they aim to dominate

Michael Kennedy says his side will not be afraid of an intimidating Beechwood Park – insisting they will take the game to Auchinleck.

Darvel head to Talbot tonight (Wednesday) for a West of Scotland Premiership clash, and the Recreation Park boss says his team will have no fear and will aim to dominate the match.

He told Doon the Brae TV: “People know me by now, we will go there and be attacking and try to dominate the ball.

“Nobody at the club is underestimating the task at hand, they are a fantastic and experienced side and they are on a really good run.

“It should be a great game, two good sides and I am sure it will be a spectacle for the fans.

“We will go there to try and win the game, but we know that won’t be an easy task.”

Talbot have yet to be beaten in the league after 16 games, and a Vale win would take them within 10 points of ‘Bot with a game in hand.

Kennedy added: “We need to concentrate on games other than Talbot, a lot of people focus on what they are doing.

“Our focus switches onto them for this game of course, but we went through a period without picking up many points, you end up a distance away from them, you need to win the other games.

“But the game is now here, it’s my first game there as a manager so it will be a fantastic occasion.”
