Michael Kennedy has expressed his delight after signing a new contract with Darvel.
The boss, who joined Vale at the beginning of this season, has penned a three-year deal with the Recreation Park side.
The news was announced after the 4-2 win at home to St Roch’s on Saturday.
Kennedy said: “I am delighted to have signed a new deal.
“The committee have been speaking to a number of the players with plans for them to commit their future to the club. They then approached me and I was happy to oblige.
“As soon as I came in I knew this would be a project that will take a number of years.
“We won’t become the best team overnight, it’s a long-term plan we have.
“There is a lot of work still to be done, but I am happy with the progress the club is making both on and off the park.”
He added: “This is still a learning curve for me, we are playing some teams I don’t know much about, whereas at amateur level I knew a lot about most of our opponents.”
