'Darth Vader House' that looks like Star Wars villain's helmet goes on sale for £3m

A house which looks like Star Wars villain Darth Vader's helmet has hit the market for £3 million.

Even Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, was struck by the similarity of the exterior of the property to his enemy's headgear.

Posting on Twitter, he said: "EVIL HOUSE FOR SALE: A true bargain at $4.3M as is, with much potential for renovation and/or redemption. #ContactSithRealty."

The futuristic 7,000 sq. ft. property is located in Houston, Texas - and is perfect for a fan of the hit franchise.

It has been nicknamed after the fictional character as it appears to resemble his iconic appearance.

The house was built by surgeon Dr. Jean Cukier in 1992 and features four bedrooms, five full bathrooms and a four-car garage.

And the listing even describes it as the "Darth Vader House" - as well as a "contemporary masterpiece".

The galactic price also includes the 18,000 sq. ft. lot that the house is located on and "versatile living spaces".

Interior pictures show plush furnishings and blue neon nights - which would not look out of place in a sci-fi film.

"Nothing else like it in the area," the listing adds.

Nadia Carron, who is the co-listing agent, told the Houston Chronicle that when Dr Cukier drew out ideas, he wanted a home inspired by the design of a "stealth fighter jet."

"He loved the movies. That was his inspiration," she added.

The property has never before been photographed inside - or outside, with permission.

Mark Hamill - who played Luke Skywalker in the franchise - has even tweeted about the house (TK Images/MEGA)

So the online listing and upcoming showings will be the first time anyone other than Cukier and his friends and family have seen inside the unusual home, reports say.

Excited Star Wars fans replied to Mr Hamill's initial post reinforcing this point.

One said: "Love this! This home is in our neighbourhood and I always wondered what it looked like inside.

"Now that is on the market, we finally have pictures."
