England star Jack Grealish's former teammate Darren Bent has revealed that the Aston Villa star rates Chelsea's Mason Mount extremely highly amid Blues' transfer links.
The two English playmakers enjoyed fruitful campaigns for their respective clubs, earning them call-ups to Gareth Southgate's Euro 2020 squad this summer, with the Three Lions progressing to the semi-finals of the tournament, where they will face Denmark at Wembley on Wednesday night.
Grealish has also been linked with Mount's Chelsea in recent weeks, with Fichajes claiming that the Blues will make a move for Villa's captain this summer now that the playmaker has fully recovered from the knee injury that kept him out of action for a portion of last season.
And Grealish's former teammate Bent has revealed that the 25-year-old has been talking up Mount in recent weeks.
"A lot of people have compared them [Mount and Grealish] in terms of who would you play; Mason Mount, Jack Grealish or Foden, it was always one or the other," Bent told talkSPORT.
"The way he spoke about Mason Mount was really nice to hear as well. I was talking about him and he was saying 'Benty he is so good'.
"Not only in the way that he works and the way he presses, which he is very good at, but also the way that he plays. He is so so good.
"Honestly, he was beaming when he was talking about it, which was nice to hear."
Bent's comments will excite Chelsea fans, with Thomas Tuchel looking to close the gap between his side and last season's Premier League champions Manchester City.
However, the German will face stiff competition from City, who are also reportedly chasing the silky playmaker this summer.
